AMERICA'S LAND: CONSECRATED BY GOD
David New

Did you know that the land in America was legally conveyed to the United States under the authority of God? Historically, this is a true statement. For example, all the land that makes up the original 13 colonies, the Northwest Territory (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin) and as far west as the Mississippi River was conveyed to the United States under the express authority of God.

The Mission of the Gospel
Ray Baumann

God enables and equips His children to take on different roles for His mission. We see from the book of Jeremiah that God calls, equips, and sends. It was the story of Jeremiah that put the fire in my bones, to think outside the box to reach the lost. Each believer has been given unique gifts and talents that all work together for God's glory. Whatever you do, wherever you are, whatever situation you are put in, these are all opportunities to engage people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The American church has turned God's mission into a cliché, passionately talking it about only within the four walls of the church building, and limiting evangelism to bringing people to a service and no more.

The leaders in the educational establishment, the apostate Church, occultism/pagan spirituality, or the government-corporate complex want the idea of social and spiritual evolution embraced worldwide in order to bring about their desired "new order" or "new world order." Secular humanist and Fabian Socialist Julian Huxley (brother of Aldous) was the First Director General of the United Nations Educational, Science, and Culture Organization (UNESCO). He explained, "The task is to help the emergence of a single world culture…"

MORE PROOF: THE EAST IS SEDUCING THE WEST

On Saturday I had a spirited on-air discussion with a Bethel University professor who acted as spokesman for the college regarding its recent interfaith symposium. As I wrote last week, Buddhism was featured and there was a suggestion that there just might be "common ground" with Buddhism and Christianity when it comes to "meditation." Hear the program at this link. The potential "common ground" regarding meditation would be an eastern-style mystical meditation. I saw once again how the East has been seducing the West for nearly 50 years.

Good News about the 2009 Election
Phyllis Schlafly

Ever since Barack Obama's election, the mainstream media and liberal commentators have been gleefully proclaiming the death of the Republican Party and predicting it could be revived only with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation from "moderates" and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). The November 3 elections proved that those obituaries, in the famous words of Mark Twain, were "greatly exaggerated."

Reformation or Revival?

If you have been around me very long, you have heard me emphasize that the crying need, the absolutely desperate need of the hour, is reformation. You have also been aware that for years I have also longed for revival. Recently I was asked what the difference actually is, if any, between revival and reformation. This is an important question worthy of your precious time to think it through.

In response to an inquiry from Accuracy in Media, McChesney couldn't name one conservative who has been on his show since it was launched in 2002.
Robert W. McChesney, the socialist professor whose Free Press organization is leading the charge for the $50 billion "progressive" transformation of the media, hosts a one-sided, tax-supported radio program sponsored by the University of Illinois that could serve as a model for the "New Public Media" the group has envisioned for America.

The critical role of the Catholic Church in passing national health care reform legislation is coming under serious media scrutiny. But the story has taken a strange turn. It has now been revealed that George Soros, the billionaire hedge fund operator and well-known atheist, has been pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into "progressive" Catholic groups that are significant players in the national debates over health care and immigration.

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH

Stephen Stills wrote the song For What It's Worth in 1967. It was composed three years into the Second Turning, the Consciousness Revolution. The song has come to symbolize the turbulence, mistrust, rage, paranoia, anti-war spirit, and the anti-establishment mood of the 1960's. An Awakening era has many parallels to a Crisis era at the outset. A traumatic event or events triggers the mood alteration in the country which sets the next twenty years in motion. In 1929 the stock market crash triggered a 17 year Crisis. In 1963, the assassination of John F. Kennedy triggered a 20 year Awakening. In 2005, the housing collapse has triggered the next American Crisis which we are living through today.

There's an Alternative to the Expensive Health Care Monster Bill

The controversial health care reform bill passed in the House by the squeaky close vote of 220 to 215 late on Saturday night. The days before the vote were marked by protests and demonstrations on the Capitol steps, and significant numbers of Americans have expressed open animosity toward more government control of the health care system. President Obama will not be able to sign this legislative baby tomorrow though. Serious negotiations lie ahead as the Senate works to develop its own version of health care reform, and the two bills don't promise to look very much alike.

Let's take a look at the prophecies God gave Daniel about the end times, especially concerning "the Times of the Gentiles."
Two years after Daniel's arrival in Babylon, when he was about 17 years old, God gave Nebuchadnezzar a dream that greatly disturbed him. The king demanded that his wise men tell him two things - first, what he had dreamed and second, the meaning of the dream. Needless to say, the wise men were confounded.

Daniel: On the Timing of the Lords Return
Dr. David R. Reagan

A wonderful end time theme in the book of Daniel relates to the timing of the Lord's return. Daniel provides us with several clues. The first is found in Daniel 9:24-27 in the prophecy of the 70 Weeks of Years.
In this famous prophecy, Daniel tells us that all the prophecies concerning the Jewish people will be fulfilled at the end of a period of 490 years. His prophecy then makes it clear that there will be a gap between the first 483 years and the final 7 years. We know from the book of Revelation that the final 7 years of this prophecy will constitute the Great Tribulation when God will pour out His wrath upon the rebellious nations of the world and in the process will bring the Jewish people to the end of themselves, resulting in the salvation of a great remnant.

The Holy Spirit and the Tribulation
Dr. Thomas Ice

One of the most compelling, yet often misunderstood, arguments for pretribulationism relates to the Holy Spirit's role to the church and the tribulation period. Most holding to the pre-trib position believe that 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 refers to the restraining ministry of the Holy Spirit through the agency of the Church. Thus, when the church is raptured before the tribulation, that ministry of the Holy Spirit will be removed as well. If this interpretation is correct, then it is a strong argument for pretribulationism.

Students of Bible prophecy are always keeping a close eye on the news, looking for events that fulfill what the Bible explicitly says will lead up to Jesus' soon return. Read through the following headlines and summaries and see if you can recognize just which prophetically appointed event we're looking at. (I'll give you a hint: there's more than one.)

When Students Are Left for the Wolves
Jan Markell

I wasn't prepared for what I was about to hear the evening of November 3. My alma mater, Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, sponsored an Interreligious Symposium promoting some kind of "common ground" between Buddhism and Christianity. One would think if a Christian had an ounce of discernment, they would deduce that Christianity has nothing to do with Buddhism and such unions are playing with fire. But a panel concluded that there was "common ground" when it came to "meditation." Granted, this kind of meditation could put one in a dangerous altered state of consciousness, but maybe that's ok as long as we can find a bit of unity here! Some would call this common bond of meditation "contemplative prayer."

We have all seen the signs that the liberal protesters hold up. We have heard the liberal pundits spew out their talking points concerning socialized medicine. We know the "Health Care is a Human Right" mantra that drones on and on and yet how can we argue against that? Do we conservatives not believe a person should be treated if they are dying? Do we not believe that there is a moral obligation in the following case for a person to receive care? Let us examine this hypothetical scenario;

In a story about why the U.S. Catholic Bishops have embraced Democratic-style universal health care, the Los Angeles Times noted that the Roman Catholic Church considers healthcare a basic human right, "a position the church has articulated since 1963, when it was included in a papal encyclical by Pope John XXIII." Indeed, healthcare is declared a right in the "Peace on Earth" encyclical. That is also the basis of Obamacare.
